Mr. Thomas

I was browsing your site and saw that you are welcoming information on past scholarship winners. I was a scholarship recipient in 1999-2000. I have since graduated magna cum laude from Augustana College with a degree in Music and am living and working in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am employed by Lutheran Music Program, Inc., a pan-Lutheran non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of young people through music and liturgy, and to maintaining the tradition of musical excellence in the Lutheran Church. Interested people can learn more about what we do at http://www.lutheranmusicprogram.org.

In my free time, I am active in two choirs here in the Twin Cities. I sing baritone in the National Lutheran Choir, an ensemble with a long tradition of excellence since it's founding by Larry Fleming. I also sing baritone in a chamber choir and orchestra called Exultate. We just had our first concert weekend of the season, and performed Schubert Mass in G among others.

I am enjoying living in such a great music city and am spoiled by the opportunities to take in fine performances at every turn!

Sincerely,

Bjorn Arneson
